Topic Life and Archiving

Effective immediately, topics (threads) in all Forum boards will automatically be closed to posting 60 days after the last post has been made. We have determined that such topical threads have by that time served their purposes--and run their course.

Often, members will revive a topic that is many years old. It is often the case that a number of the members involved in the original discussion are no longer active at QRZ.COM, and if new information is available it is best shared amongst current users in a new topic and thread.

All old threads that are automatically closed will remain in the QRZ.COM archive of discussions--being searchable and visible just as they are now. It is just that they can no longer be resurrected to new life.

UPDATE 02/12: Threads may also be closed and archived when they have reached an unwieldy length--and have become off topic or difficult to follow due to that length.
