Default icom 738 + IC 710 marine sea atu

HI all, can i ask a question please re tuners

i have a SEA 1612 connected to a icom 710 marine radio, it works great with a long wire to the top of my mast ( sail boat)
the control cable from the icom 710 to the atu only has +ve and Gnd

i have also installed my Icom 738 and am wanting to use the tuner as well, even though it has an inbuilt tuner.
should i use, the same control connections as the IC 710 ( +ve and Gnd) or should i include the Start and Key connections as well?

thanks for any help you can offer

If the Sea 1612 is an RF sensing ATU, as opposed to rig specific ATU's, the ATU won't care if it's an Icom, a Kenwood, or a homebrew xmtr as long as it has operating voltage and RF.

If you have to worry about the cost of HF e-mail, you can't afford the boat.
