    Question One Yagi does all

Do you guys think the antenna in the link below would be one Yagi does all? I don't mind popping on the cost, but don't want to be disappointed either. I'm looking for a beam that can work satellite and terrestrial. I'm thinking this with my vertical on the roof should be all I ever need. Comments?

While it might be able to do vertical or horizontal polarization on 2m/440 the boom length isn't really too conducive for gain. It's been a while since I've done sats but I can tell you that you might be a little disappointed trying to do any serious weak signal work with it. Polarization isn't too important when working the sats so I wouldn't worry too much about being able to select vertical or horizontal polarization. And since it sounds like you intend to put up some kind of VHF/UHF vertical you have that aspect covered.

You could find better ways to spend your money even if you have a lot of it to throw around. That said, it will probably work fine for the lower orbiting sats but in my opinion that antenna simply doesn't have enough gain to do any meaningful terrestrial weak signal work. In my opinion, you need to start at 12dbd on 2m (something like the 2M9SSB boom length) with the antenna above obstructions and a clear view of the horizon.
