Cool mounting a c213snmo on my truck?

I just got a c213snmo from my uncle to mount a nmo base nr770hnmob from diamond on my truck, and i am unsure as to how to proceed exactly, i was thinking of running it under the dash to the door frame then running up underneath the plastic where the handhold is then underneath the headliner to mount on the roof, but this vehicle has a ladderrack that cant be removed because its needed for work, should i follow the same basic idea but go through the roof with the wire and seal around it then mount on the middle of the ladder rack with a little peice of angle iron bolted to the rack where it wont interfere with the ladders, but i want to know what would yall suggest so i can make an informed decision, the truck is a 99 f-150 standard worker special with a stick shift, any ideas will be appreciated thanks, 73 all ki4uzg

    Default

If you are sold on the idea of mounting it on the ladder rack, route the cable down the rack support to the stake receptical, then between the bed and cab, along the frame to the engine compartment, up and through the firewall to under the dash. Be sure to use good quality Black UV resistant cable ties to hold the cable in place. look closely around the steering column for a rubber gasket or plug, normally you can find a soft place to make slit large enough to run the coax through, then solder the connector on.

    Default Cable Routing

For cable routing there is a vent located between the cab and bed that you can route the cabling through. You will have to pull a trim panel loose on the inside to get to the vent but in my opinion this is better than drilling a hole. For the antenna location one thing to consider is what you are hauling on the rack and the potential for the antenna getting broken off. For durability you may consider putting a bracket on the outer edge of the ladder rack so the rack itself provides some protection.
