I always hated those short-field takeoffs...

Long ago and far away (Alaska) I saw a demo of shorties by a small bi-plane. Amazing.

It's a good thing I wasn't drinking my coffee yet........

That poor guy, I guess it serves him right if he is going to drink and fly.

Me too. Had a really bad experience in one. Laminated the tree leaves from the landing gear to remind me not to do THAT again.

This was at DFW a couple of days ago. The lady driving sailed over another car sitting at the toll booth and burst into flames after it crashed. She got out ok, but then tried to get back into the burning car shortly thereafter.

    She was blitzed.

That actually would have cheered me up if I had seen that while I was stuck at DFW for 12 hours.

It would make me realize someone else had an even worse day than I did!

Default Coming down is the hardest thing.

Just caught this on the news...

Landing appears to be a "little rough".

The State Police will probably revoke his "flying" license.

I hope the "lady driver" didn't have any "explosives" hidden in her underwear !!
