Proper forum selection
There have been a rash of posts which have definitely been placed in the wrong forum. This, in turn, requires effort by one of the staff members to move the post to the proper forum. Please, take a minute to determine just which forum your post really belongs. Use the following as a guideline:
If you are seeking an answer to a question having anything to do with amateur radio then put your post in the Questions & Answers forum. In fact, just about any questions belong in that forum.
If you are making a comment on anything having to do with amateur radio then post your comment in the Talk & Opinions forum.
If you are making a comment on any topic which does NOT have to do with amateur radio then post your comment in the Rag Chew Central forum.
If you are posting information about modifications to amateur radio equipment then that goes in the Radio Mods, Tips, and Secrets forum. However, remember that modifications for out-of-band operation are no longer permitted here on QRZ.com. Information on putting older equipment on the 60 meter band or on any of the WARC bands is permitted. But, information for putting equipment on either CAP or MARS is not. Frankly, there are virtually no amateur radio equipment now allowed for CAP operation and relatively few units for MARS operation. Your CAP or MARS director needs to be the source of information for such modification.
Questions and information on antennas needs to go in the Antenna Design and Information forum.
Questions and information on microphones, speakers, and so forth needs to go in the Audio Processing forum.
Questions and information on "homebrewing" need to go in the Homebrewing, Projects, and DIY forum.
Questions, information, etc., on "older" equipment needs to go in the Boatanchors forum.
These, and other "specialized" forums, were created in response for requests for a more specialized series of forums which would allow for easier location of such information. Unfortunately, when people just post the information, questions, etc., in a "willy nilly" manner the purpose of having these specialized forums is negated.
Remember, post of a political nature, with the exception of such which are of a direct amateur radio nature, are not allowed here on QRZ.com.
Also, please remember the "rules of the road" of this site:
No profanity
No obscenities
No personal attacks
No political posts
