Paradise for us here near the mucky and deaf making facility at London Heathrow. Quite! Muckless!

    Not convenient for travellers though.

Time to go back to the seas! Longships ahoy! Coracles at the ready! St Brendan, we salute you!

If you find something you cannot do, start doing it. Pretty soon you will find how you are doing some of it wrong and put that right. After a while, you will find you are doing it all right. Advice given to me by Lynn L. Augspurger in 1978, who sadly died January 2013.

The GOOD news is that, if enough of the lava builds up to come out of the water, then it might just qualify for a NEW DXCC COUNTRY!!!!

DXCC Countries are in high demand and hard to come by. Avid DXpeditioners are just waiting on the edge of their chair for some new island to be formed so they can go there and put it on the air.

Hopefully enough rock will be out to the water so they don't have to do a Scarborough Reef scaffolding sytle DXpedition!

News coverage of all this activity has been a little low unless theres a body count....I know the world is now more "connected"...however I don't recall this much activity...especially the larger quakes...gotta love those Mayan's....I believe something is causing all of this that science can't grasp or won't share...maybe there to busy with global warming...more grant money available...

    "gotta love those Mayan's"

This is straying off-topic a little bit, but what I've never heard in all the History, NatGeo, and Discover shows I've watched about them is how acheologists determined the start data for their calendar. Does anyone know the answer to that?

There seems to be a few misapprehensions about! The volcano isn't ocean-going, it is on land, under a glacier in Iceland.

Thick overcast here today so no chance of seeing the colourful sunset predicted, but there is no ash fall at ground level. I do remember seeing a blue moon after an Icelandic eruption in the 1960's so if the clag clears tonight I will be looking...
