    Default Programming software--FT7900r

Just got a Yaesu 7900R and do not want to program any more than a few frequencies by hand. Programmed over 200 when i did my scanner and that was a pain!!!

I see cheap cables on ebay so I am not worried about that, but what do you guys think is the best software for it??

When I ordered my FT-7900's, I went ahead and ordered the RT Systems FT-7900 Programmer Version 4 software. Spreadsheet based and I had zero issues. I ended up entering 273 frequencies that I never would have attempted to enter manually. The PDF manual also revealed more capabilities of the Hyper-memories than I realized existed.

The best programming software is by G4HFQ.

Although I see it isn't available yet for the FT-7900.

It is available now for purchase and download from Bob Freeth. I use it on my laptop to program my 7900R and it works remarkably well. I just wish it had the undo feature for when you accidentally overwrite a frequency or call sign.

I went with RT systems and I'm VERY happy with the result.
