Default Scifi Con and hope for the youth...

I went to the Babelcon in Baton Rouge with my friend Anne. She knows Star Trek and Star Wars but the other shows aren't her thing. One of the guys about 22 years old was dressed up as Dr. Who 4.5 and had a name tag that just said "the doctor". Anne asked "Who are you". and of course I said "you're right". She then said "What" and I said "he's on second". She then said" I don't know what you are talking about". The kid said "Third base".

If that young person knows Abbott and Costello, then there is hope for the world.

My kids have all been subject to Abbot and Costello for hours on end on long car trips. You can dowload them for free from Itunes. Those two were some of the funniest guys I have ever seen. I've been tempted to rent some of the movies for the family to watch.

The best impression of Lou Costello I ever saw was Nathan Lane on SNL, years ago.

In L.A. you can request a Klingon interpreter for court cases.

I remember watching Abbott & Costello short (films) on TV many years ago. Fun stuff.

By the way: Do you know voodoo?
