Default Rag Chew Central versus Elmer's Corner

It suddenly occurred to me that QRZ is set up with Rag Chewers as "Central" but Elmers are relegated to a mere "Corner".

Why? Are we ashamed of Elmers?

Shouldn't it be the other way around Elmers Central and Ragchewers Corner?

There are times when perhaps it should be Rag Chew Pothole

Maybe they've been relegated to a corner because they need a shower or a bath?

I'm not ashamed of the elmers/teachers they're the key of what we need in the ham radio scene so everyone can get the younger generation to be apart of the hobby.

Forum Members are Not "Riff Raft"
You are correct. We are riffraff, or 'the common people' and have no reason to be ashamed of it.

Now, being an Elmer here is like being a cop in a bar. You always want your back against the wall. Two walls is better and that's why cops and Elmers like to be in the corner of the room.

The 'Central' in Rag Chew Central is just to separate it from the PJ forum as we can't post to the left and we can't post to the right here in Rag Chew. We have to remain 'central'.

    Now you know.
