I did see it and it was not my favorite version, however it seemed to me that he sang it from the heart and that is what counts to me.

There has always been alot of talk that GOD BLESS AMERICA should be the National Anthem instead of the Star Spangled Banner. That is what we sing at both ELKS and KIWANIS. It is played almost as frequently as the SSB. But, because it has the word "GOD" in it, all the angry ATHEISTS keep that from happening.

Put yourself in God's shoes (so to speak).

Why would He be inclined to bless our people
as opposed to the rest of the folks in the
world He created?

Have we given Him any reason to love US more?

I would think He must really love the Chinese.
(Seeing as He made so many of them.) But
given the national debt, a blessing for America
would be a back-door blessing for China.

And that "Ocean white with foam" clause
could apply to any country soliciting
God
for His Blessings.

Whoever wrote that song desperately needed
somethng to rhyme with "home, sweet home,"
but "white with foam" does seem rather lame.
