Global Warming may not be a hoax...but man made Global Warming, as well as man controlled Global Warming, are examples of egotistical guilt and wish hoaxes.
The Earth was hot before man evolved and it will probably get hot when man becomes extinct as well. Man has nothing to do with it.

I have absolutely no doubt that we are going through a heating cycle right now; ice is melting, polar cap receding; etc. It's really happening.
What is indeterminate is man's influence on all that. The fact that it's happening doesn't mean we did it, or even influenced it much.
Since we weren't here for the past billion years to tell what happened exactly when, this could all be part of the natural evolution of our planet -- or maybe it isn't.
If this cycle is 20,000 years long, we don't have any recorded history of the last cycle.
The good news is there's some sunspot activity now that hasn't happened in the last few years, may be a real indicator that "Cycle 24" is kicking off in a way that will help ionospheric communication! Head for your key, mike, computer keyboard or whatever you use, and let's work some DX.
