Steel Belted Radial System
Does anybody have a chart on the effectiveness of using Mark V Gain oil in conjunction with a Steel Belted Radial System? I read that using the oil in liew of water when mixing the cement to go inside the tire carcus you could get upwards of 25dbi on tires at least 750r15. Further, I have heard that old firestones are working the best b ut they have to be pre sell out tires.
Any info would be apreciated but am looking for gain charts and such.

And you are from which institution?

Isn't it "roadside gain " instead of "broadside?" Or maybe that's "gin," not "gain."
BTW, well done, that.

However, it is imperative that your balun be wound in the following manner! Failure to follow this important step will result in prohibitively high cross-loop foldback voltage at the tire bead, which will cancel out the negative null.
Proper tire depth beneath the soil line is important. Better results are achieved with greater depth, as direct granular coupling will increase as you approach the water table. This is best measured at the twelfth negative harmonic relative to the cross-radiating frequency - see the appropriate chart for your harmonic.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much. I have been attaching my feedlimne directly to the portion of the tire that normally
seals the tire to the wheel. However, I remember reading, years ago, about inductively coupling to the feed line. Any input on this?

Actually, yes.
If the tire is rotation specific, that is. Look for an arrow somewhere on the tire that indicates spin direction. Use the right hand rule for CCW rotation and the left hand rule for CW rotation when you wind your feed line coil.

Mark V Gain Oil in place of water
Ancient stuff!
Should use a synthetic oil!!
