Of course you can connect a transverter to your rig.
If you mean learn a bit about drive levels, T/R switching, and the like.
If you mean a plug and pray hookup, I haven't a clue.
I have some experience with VHF/UHF transverters, I have worked most of the states east of the Mississippi (and a few west!) from WV on both 2M and 70CM bands; It is my experience, that folks who take the time to learn a bit of radio theory, and don't depend on plugging in a unit and having it work will work FAR FAR more stations than a fellow who throws money at the problem.
EVERYBODY I know who successfully worked a EME QSO did it with equipment that was at least partially homebrewed.
NOBODY that I know who tried to BUY his EME station was successful.
Now my mistakes travel at the speed of light!:cool:
