While studying for my Extra license, I discovered this Java circuit simulator:

I'm a very "visual" person. I've always had a problem learning electrical principles because the concepts seem so abstract. To actually be able to visualize current flow, the phase of voltage and current, etc., helped me so much! Also, it's really easy to use. Many of the circuits in the ARRL study book have already been created. You just drop down the "Circuits" menu and pick the one you're looking for.
