One day when cruzing the 21 to 29 i come across a very strong signal, wondering what i was i cruzed slowy until it was full strength it was 5/9 20+

i turn off the applinences in the QTH and just had the radio on

i walk outside and hear " EEEEEERRRR " the noise of a rc car Hmm i thought

He has two of them both of which at on different frequencies one on 27.145 AM and 40.677 FM

Here's how i found that i was the rc car i tuned up on AM with CW Tone on 27.145 using a Station Master and watch the RC car stop lol i have now figured that i was the rc car and i watched it stop he keeps checking it and then i let go of tx'ing and it works again i can't help it im on a legal Frequency aren't i lol

The worst part of it is, Channel 23 in the CB is 27.255mhz and is SHARED as R/C Channel 6 (aka Blue).

Last I checked, 27.145 is not a "legal" channel to us.

R/C aircraft are flown with two frequency bands. 72 Mhz, and 2.4 Ghz. The UHF radios are almost guaranteed to be "glitch free" !

How could you give the signal a 5 for readability and wonder what it was?

Here in the States what you admitted to is intentional interference and is illegal. You are also transmitting on a frequency with equipment that would be considered illegal here in the States.

In addition, I tend to hold people in contempt that have a ham license and do childish pranks with radios and think it's funny. It's not and it is likely to be illegal.

Eh OM/OP is from Canada. Seems those folks up there are pretty much exempt from stuff like that and do whatever they want to (ala VE7KFM)

I had to try SO hard to leave that comparison out of my post.

I don't care if it is legal, using a ham radio on a CB frequency to jam a kid's RC car is pathetic.

Bragging about it to other hams is beyond comprehension.

Is anybody still making a 6 meter RC rig? I last looked into this about 15 years ago, I think, and you could still get 6 meter transmitters and receivers at that time.

RCer's display flags to indicate what channel they're on, and the black ones were for 6.

I have a beautiful Kraft 6 meter ham band R/C transmitter and receiver and servos ! I got it at an R/C flea market and was told it "worked perfectly". Well, when I hooked it up, one of the servos hardly moved. I dug into the unit and found a solder bridge across the gimble pot leads on the circuit board. Opened up the bridge, and the servo came to life !

Unfortunately, I have never put the unit into a plane. It is one of those rarities that is probably worth more as a "display unit" than an actual flying tool.

I am not aware of any 6 meter units out there, but there is one manufacturer that sells "RF modules" for their controllers. They might make a ham band setup.

With the modern computerized 2.4 Ghz radios, there is little need to get an "exclusive frequency" for flying your planes. I have seen demos where there were as many as 100 planes in the air at the same time, and nobody reported any kind of cross-interference, whatever. I would have to question how they kept all those planes from crashing into one another, but of course, the level of skill of those pilots was far above mine !

Yup, the new 2.4Ghz radios are very nice. I have an indoor heli that I fly, that is a 2.4Gz DMS Spektrum radio setup. Even flying my heli in the shack with my radio on a dummy load.. Nothing bug's that heli, at all.

FIM I use all the stock crap that came with my Team Associated TC4 and the frequency is somewhere in the 27mhz area. Pls dont interfere because when that thing hits 50mph and that hit me in the leg i think it might break it lol. I dont do RC cars anymore. Radio is where its at.
