    Default Passed the General today

    Greetings fellow Hams,

I passed the General today and now will begin to study for the Extra. Looking forward to purchasing my new radio. I have decided to go with the Yaesu 857D
and the ATAS 120 antenna. I plan to install it in my truck with a remote kit and flexible mount, which should be quite nice if it all works the way I planned.

congrats!. I passed the general yesterday, also. I took the extra, but being that I didn't study for it, I failed pretty bad. Now I need to find a decent HF radio for cheap

    Same to you, as well.

I was offered to take the Extra but didn't take it; figured I needed more study. The General was much easier than I thought it would be. I studied my butt off for a month and passed easily. Hopefully I can do the same with the Extra.

If you can pass the tech, you can pass the general. If you can pass the general, you can pass the extra. All it takes is the time and resolve to study the material.

Congrats! I'm studying to take my General in a few weeks. Lots to learn.
