    Default Morse Code IPOD ITOUCH

I just downloaded a cool app.

    Go to App Store

    Search Morse Code

There are several, I downloaded Morse-It

You can use it as a practice keyer or learn code

I know a guy who uses a touch type keyer. He built it himself. He loves it and is pretty good with it.

Most mobiles can play arbitrary MP3 files as ring tones. At http://lcwo.net/?p=text2cw you can convert text to a Morse MP3 and then download the file to your phone.

I used this and it worked well. No cost.

I used it to create my callsign as a ringtone on my Blackberry.

I have a couple friends who have the ipod Touch, and they were showing me the Morse code application the other night. Very cool. I think next week when I go to pick the wife and kid up at the airport I'm going to go a bit early so I can drop by (insert name of big box store here) and pick one up for myself.

You can use Winmorse to generate mp3 or wav files and load them onto your cellphone.
    Steve

If you have to worry about the cost of HF e-mail, you can't afford the boat.

So you know, USA provider Verizon does NOT allow this. In fact, many phones' most useful features are disabled by Verizon.

I guess it depends on the phone. On my Verizon Blackberry, I can download/play MP3 files as well as other formats.

I just went browsing on the iTunes App store and didn't see any for learning Morse Code. They all seemed to be about the same - take something (text and even audio) and translate it.

Maybe I missed it, so if there is one, someone can post here. I did find http://aa9pw.com/morsecode/morse-code-iphone-app/ which is in development.
