    Default HB9ABX RoomCap antenna construction

    Dear all.

PLEASE...I DO NOT WANT opinions on the performance of this antenna. All I want are some construction notes for this antenna, or any info about how to put one together, from someone who has them available or is willing to share. Can anybody help?

    Thanks and 73

    Hi Pete!
I'm firmly conviced I've found the answer we all are searching for.
Please, watch at this address: http://www.antennex.com/preview/arch.../microvert.htm

Thanks a lot to OM (capital letters) DL7PE Juergen Schaefer for his great work

    Dear Luca.

Many thanks for the link to DL7PE's page. This is much appreciated.

I am considering building something along these lines for use on the beach.

Have you experimented at all with this type of antenna?

Another thought I am having is something like a quadfilar helix antenna.

    Again, thanks again Luca.

    73 Pete
I am interested in hearing others experiences with the Room cap antenna as well.

Speaking of QFH, have you seen this page? If you want more links holler and I will dig through my bookmarks.

No, I have not experimented yet these kinds of antenna. I would like but I'm still searching for some more documentation that tell me it is worth. That's why i noticed this discussion

I'll come back to you surely in case.

    All the Best

I have built a hair spray can antenna for 40 meters according to these plans.

    http://freenet-homepage.de/dl7ahw/Superantenne00E.htm

Instead of a hairspray can I used a 2" diameter 12" long piece of copper pipe I had laying around. I used it for PSK31 and it worked surprisingly (or sufficiently) well just 6 feet off the ground.

Here is a map of the contacts I made with it.

Be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
