Default For the OTs out there

I heard stories of Amateurs in years gone by, lighting their cigarettes off some HV around the tube. How excatly was this done? TNX for the help, 73s.

    Once, probably.

It's true one might light a cigarette or pipe off RF on feeder wires carrying high enough power, unsafe though that might be to dental and oral health, but doing anything of the sort inside a power amplifier can break the smoking habit quickly and permanently

    Dead folks don't need tobacco.

I use to light JOINTS that way. You would take a TV set, and arc the High Voltage into a continous spark, then put the cigarette in the arc. Worked great, but a little risky with your nose that close to the spark! Sure couldn't light a ROACH that way!!!!

Maybe you should get 1 of those big blunts that I see in music videos. You sure won't have to worry about your nose getting in the way anymore with those guys.

I don't get it. Was that a solder joint or a pipe joint? It wasn't a beer joint was it? Nah, that would be arson.

Didn't they have RAID ROACH KILLER back then?
