Somehow, I can see this happening:
Same misunderstanding at the gas pump--you gesticulate that you want your car's tank filled up, the attendant nods and smiles, then proceeds to the back of your car and begins to pee into the gas tank.
Coming to think of it, my left rear tire does have some strange streaks on the wheel cover and tire.

The reason that there are still some places in the U.S. where you cannot fill your own gas tank is the state government of both Oregon and New Jersey consider their citizens too dumb to operate a gas pump. So they require filling stations to have "highly trained personnel" to fill your tank for you. Surprisingly, when I filled up the van after having it modified in NJ, I found the prices to be quite reasonable, even though someone was doing the work for me.
I know, they think we are brain dead or something, I would rather pump and pay myself, why paying someone else to do what anyone can do is beyond me.

And because of that we see a lot of people that come in and ask how to pump their gas. The first thing I say is "From Oregon?" Some are amazed that I know that just from their asking how to pump their gas.

Years ago I had a friend who lived there not too far from Mayther Feild.
My roommate and I would go and visit usually for a day or two.
I like the city even though it gets a bit warm in the summer, that's okay with me I didn't mind the heat when I was there in August and September.
There are a lot of Russians there just like in Vancouver BC.

Oregon is even stranger!
They are required to pump your gas for you, into a CAR,
but whenever I pull up on my motorbike, they make ME take off the cap and pump the gas! JUST motorcycles/motorbikes, nobody else. Something to do with spilling gas on a hot engine, I was told.

In a earlier post there was the mention of the left hand, I handed him the credit card with my right hand, after two attempts asking for a fill up and he said I don't understand, so in indicating I wanted a fill up and I guess my pointer finger was lightly raised according to him.
If any of us went to their country and did this for violating one of our customs, I am sure they'd all gang up and turn your car over, then get nasty. Really can't believe he show such disrespect to me and my wife, and most likely others that without their knowledge did something he felt was an insult.
They must also learn to respect US ,in our own country of origin, I would never consider doing what he did in their homeland.

I have a few questions, Are you left handed or right ? Were you driving or a passenger.
I have a feeling your not being totally honest and might have actually handed him the card with your left hand not your right. If you are right handed you most likely keep your wallet on your rights side or in your left inside coat pocket either way you would have had to use your right hand to retrieve and open your wallet. Now with your right hand supporting the wallet you would have used your left to retrieve the card and then simply held it up to the drivers side window which is on your left side. I somehow doubt that you twisted your body around so you could hand an object out a window on your left side. Interesting what you learn through the powers of observation. In my lifetime I have probably stood in a check out line behind a few 1000 men and watched them pay for their purchase. Not that it really matters or excuses his actions if indeed the incident even took place I just wonder why someone would be dishonest about it? could it be a troll post ?
The box said 'You need Windows XP or better' .... so I installed Linux
