Just traded for an ICOM IC-725. Found a used CW filter and it's on the way. Looking forward to some mobile/camping CW!

My ???? is about the sidetone.

Do I match the incoming signal to the sidetone frequency to zerobeat the station I wish to work?

Also can I adjust the sidetone to a lower frequency. My OLD ears just don't do that well with higher tones. Would like to set it about 600cycles.

Any input from you all would be appreciated.
