    Wink "RARE" Swan VX2

Are some hams nuts, or have to much money to throw away?

I have two of these Swan VX2 vox units laying around. I don't think I paid over $5.00 each. This one is up to $ 152.50 with over two days to go.

Darn, I should put mine on Ebay! I would be happy to get $20 bucks.

    Remember the Swan Astro 102BX?

It had as an option a 400hz, 6-pole CW filter.

Earlier versions of the rig used a daughtercard to mount the filter to the IF board, while later ones did not.

I watched two of the filter/daughtercard assemblies fetch more than $350 through eBay in the fall of 2004. That, coincidentally, is $50 more than I paid for a non-working 102 which had the filter installed.

About $10 worth of parts later, I had a fully functional radio.

Ebay is simply a contest on WHO can spend the most money for something not worth anywhere near what it goes for.

I saw that also. I have a VX-2 and I think I paid about $ 30 or less for it but, I'm a collector and never used it. I will eventually, just lazy I guess. BTW, if you want VOX on a Swan, the VX-2 to some people is probably a God send so, they pony up the money. BTW, I just paid $ 180 for a 508 VFO for my 700cx. Been looking for one of those for a very long time. Kinda rare but now I can work split. Check out the image.
