I have yet to find any software that works correctly with my FT757GXII. Write log would let me change the frequency, but then the software would lock up. No other software I've used would even come that close.

I've tried it with several different cables and software packages.

Thanks for your input - it sort of validates my experience. I find it interesting that the FT757GXII is in the ACLog rig interface list, yet it doesn't play at all with mine. The same software works fine with the FT-950.

Problem seem to be the 757 was built in the early days of rig control, and I think the newer computers may be way to fast for the rig. Back then, we were using XT computers. They only ran at 4 to 12 mhz. I think the radio might not like the faster machines. If I still had an XT, I'd test that theory!

I think I will give up on this one. I only wanted the interface to put the Freq./Mode/Band data into the software - did not think that the PC speed would have any impact on it, as you can choose the baud rate in the software setup. Yaesu manual suggests 4800 which is the default in the logging software. I am not sure if I tried other possibilities. Nice little radio, but I only use it for occasional portable operation from a camp in the woods so I will not get too strung out over this issue.
