    Default LoTW???

    Hey everyone;

    I just got my certificate from the ARRL for LoTW. How do I sign that certificate? I am completely confused with LoTW.

    LOTW can be a lot of fun. I do not understand the difficulties some have had setting it up. For me it was so easy I forget how I did it.

    Have fun. Hope to work you and confirm via LOTW.

    Thanks Calvin.
    To me, using LOTW is a no-brainer and helps other hams. Not everyone wants another card from, let's say, Virginia. So I easily get confirmations quickly that may or may not ever be sent because my location is not necessarily a priority.
    Win, Win for everyone involved.

    Thumbs up

    I use LOTW and love it. My logging program automatically uploads and downloads all the info . . . really cool.

    The problem with setting it up is that most hams (me included) tend to think that reading the directions is only for idiots. In this case, reading the directions for LOTW off the ARRL website is a *must* and you *must* follow them EXACTLY!

    The first certificate got from them I never used because I got intimidated by the instructions. I got another and carefully followed the directions and all worked well.

    W4DFW,

    I use the N3FJP and it does all the uploading and confirming for me. I couldn't figure out how to sign my certificate

    I just got about 20 countries confirmed. I uploaded about 250 QSO's. Most of them DX. I went through my log and manually typed some of them in. My LoTW Hit rate is very low but I got some new ones confirmed thankfully. I also just started using clusters. (another thing from my log program) DX is a lot easier to find now.

    all in all I stand at about 95 countries worked and 90 CW.
