Default Getting JLog to update frequency

    Hi,

As some of you know, I just switched to Ubuntu Linux full time. I decided that instead of using Ham Radio Deluxe under wine, I would try some of the native Linux alternatives.
After much fooling around, I got the hamlib rig control library and Xlog working. However, I don't really like Xlog, so I'm trying out Jlog. It seems like a good program, but I've been having problems with the rig control. I've got it set up, and when I start Jlog, the correct frequency is shown. However, if I change the frequency, Jlog never updates.
If I click a spot in the DX cluster, it will change the radio to that frequency. It still won't update the frequency readout.

    Any thoughts?

The only two tools needed: WD-40 and a roll of Duct tape.

If it moves and shouldn't you use duct tape.

If it should move and doesn't you use WD-40.

    Might be a UBUNTU problem.
Have you tried one of the 100's of other distro's available for free downloading ?

    I personally prefer Suse 10.3

No I personally have not tried Jlog but I just might give it a go.

I have PUPPY Linux with Fldigi running and my paper log book is working perfectly.

Good luck with your venture into Linux for HamRadio

    Howard
