Tube Radios for sale
Hello, all:
I've got some older tube radios that I'm trying to sell / trade in order to get some decent gear to get started in ham radio!
Radio #1 is a General Electric AM / FM table radio. Works well - this was the radio I was using in my garage when I was working on projects. I can't find a model number on it, but underneath is stamped "PR 3661". I'm guessing 50's vintage?
Radio #2 is my favorite - it's a Commodore FM-AM Radio Model NO-740. (That's right, the same Commodore as the C-64 and Vic-20!). Works well - it's a mono receiver with a multiplex output to connect to some sort of accessory to provide stereo sound to a second set of speakers. Also has a phono input on the back, and the schematic taped underneath the cabinet.
Radio #3 is a Zenith Trans-Oceanic portable. Beautiful styling, but never could get it to receive anything other than local AM stations. This was bought for me as a gift, and opening it up reveals that the collapsible antenna is missing, with damage to the terminals where it appears it would connect. I would bet that someone who knows a bit about these radios would be able to get it into good shape again.
The price is highly negotiable. Ideally, I'd like to trade for a good quality handheld transceiver setup. Thank you for looking, and please let me know if you have any other questions.
