I might be able to finesse the appearance of a J-pole sufficiently to elude the buzzard-eyed neighborhood goon squad.
I have a Winter League shoot tomorrow that will occupy most of the day.
Ventenna
I should be around most of the day Sunday, Monday will be a no go for me as I have work, standby at the FD after work, and then just prior to the monthly business meeting an officers meeting, then just after the business meeting, a short gear inspection/dressout training. #Tuesday will be the earliest that I can play again. #Perhaps 40M on Tuesday?

this thread really has 2 concepts:
1. NBEMS as a stand alone issue, and
2. opposition to WINSTINK
i guess you never had a "real" QSO QRM'ed by a winstink robot in P III mode that transmitts without listening first.
perhaps you don't operate in the band areas/modes where this happens, but don't worry, it will come and find you. the winstinker's really want ALL the bands ... fone/data/cw

Anybody ready to try this?
I am.

Check 10.137, there's been a group playing there for 2 days now. Go to http://www.obriensweb.com/sked/ and select Digitalradio at the top of the page, they're using that to organize things while they experiment.

Greg, KC7GNM and I did get connected on 30m using PSK31. We tired several times at PSK63 but the QSB was attrocious and the connection never got past the negotiating stage.

I'm guessing you were seeing a propnet beacon.

The PropNet is really neat Albert. You should check that page out a few times when you get the chance. The web page has links to maps showing which PropNet stations are copying each other on the most unpredictable bands.
The 30 Meter Digital Group is going to have another Play On PropNet weekend on 30 meters coming up in the next couple of months and it's really neat to get a snapshot of propagation over a 48 hour period.
Yep, 30 meters was in bad shape today.
