I'm into gaining knowledge about how to use Matlab's activexserver to manipulate ms office stuff from Matlab.

I've started from some code I inherited, and I'm working on it, but I'm finding that to get information about it is extremely difficult.

As far as I can tell, it's very Java-like, with methods and properties, but I can't find, either from Matlab help or through Google search on the web, anything that defines which objects have which methods or properties.

Can any of you point me to a reference that defines this? #I'm at the point where what I come up with says I'm not even speaking the right language yet.

    Thanks!

    Howdy...

Have you been to the Mathworks site? They have a lot of great tutorials there.

Now that you've got my curiosity glands all awake, how are you using Matlab? It was one of the first programs I ever used after I learned what a computer was.

    Thanks, I'll check that out.

We use Matlab extensively for signal processing simulations. #It's the main vehicle for systems guys to get their ideas to us software dudes.

Thanks for the Mathworks link, and maybe there's something there that can lead me to what I need, but I'm starting to think that what I'm looking for is from Windows, and not Matlab. What I'm having the most difficult with is finding the interfaces into Office applications (Word, Excec, Powerpoint, etc.) and that's pretty much a ms thing.

I'll let you know what I find out.
