A friend in MA has the IC-910H. #After varying lengths of time (5 min to hours) the digital display will start to flash on and off and the receiver and transmitter are disabled. # #

The Icom operation manual has very little useful information on troubleshooting and, of course, does not mention fault indicators or error messages according to my friend. #

I suspect a PLL(phase-locked-loop) is unlocking as many rigs have some kind of display condition for this and are disabled so they can not generate uncontrolled emissions. # All bands #freqs covered by this rig exhibit the same (2 m, 70 cm and 1296 MHz)

Does anyone have any information on this condition to help us troubleshoot?
