10m Phoenix

I heard rumors that a group in Phoenix was going to hang out on 28.385. So far I've heard NOTHING! I listen M-F from about 6:15 to 6:45 and 15:45 to 16:15 local time durring the commute. If anyone wants to try calling me, please do. I don't even know if my radio is working, maybe the receive is dead?

Call CQ. Most of the time everyone is just listening. Make some noise. Also check some beacon frequencies. 10 has been pretty dead but you may get lucky. GL. 73, Sean

I know 10 has been pretty dead as far as skip is concerned, that's why I'm hoping to at least catch a local. I usually toss out a CQ once or twice every morning and every afternoon.

I've spun the dial a few times an haven't heard anything. I'll have to look up a few specific beacon freqs and listen a little closer. It would be nice if there was one in the Phoenix area to check, but I don't think there is.

I'm at 43 Ave & Northern, I would think I can work Anthem with 25w ssb.

ahh well. I should be available Monday evening after 6 or so. If you still want to try getting together, pick a good time and I'll try to be there. If you're tired of playing around with hit or misses, I understand.

I don't have a 10m antenna for the house, just on the vehicle. That's why I have to try while mobile and/or set a sked where I can make a point to be in the car.

No problem, well I'm home now and it's 7:30pm, so I'll keep the 10m rig on 28.385 and see if I hear ya tonite. It's possible I could be outside of the house if there's no answer when you call, but hang out a few minutes and I should be back, I'm setting up a new meter and antenna so I'll be in and out. I've been trying on and off since about 8:00. If you're listening, I guess either I'm not transmitting or I can't make it up the hill to Anthem. I'll try a few more times until about 9:00. I wish I could find my watt meter, I can't find that puppy anywhere!
