What is nice about it? The sellers Buy-it-Now price is $90 above AES new price, with a warranty.

WOW! What a deal! And the original SSB filter is even installed as a listed "extra!"

    And it's ALREADY been "modded!"

WOW! What a deal. And it's almost as cheap as the current price for a new radio! ($799) WHAT A DEAL!

In all fairness it includes the the MH-59 mic, and I dont think the SSB filter is included in a new 897D

The 897 is just an 857 with a bigger case ( same boards in both rigs ), the 907 has room in the top to HOLD extra battery packs for portable operations. They are not easy to modify for " out of band " operations...but you CAN recieve 27.455 for listening purposes. The way I know this is --- I used to own one. Mine never was modified, but some one that knows how ( as complicated as it is ) CAN do it in a matter of minutes ( It is not " cut green wire " stuff, lots of soldering and UN - soldering , but with INTENT, it can be done.

Decent rigs to talk on, but I just did not like mine for several lousy reasons.

If you folks like it, go ahead and bid on it,I aint going to try to talk you out of it...it might be the ideal rig for you to own and make you one happy hamster !!
    God loves you .

Be as nice as you can to others.

I type real slow for those of you who can not read fast.
