    You should be using a well tuned Dummy Load. It must be you I keep hearing tuning up....

    If your antenna is 'well tuned' then why are you using an Auto Tuner? You really should be using a 50 ohm resistive load (a dummy load) to do all testing with.

    Based on what you have described KA9JLM is right. The amp probably has the original capacitors in it and those need to be changed as a matter of preventative maintenance. The HV sag is evidence of the Power Supply caps getting weak. Change them now before you have to scrape them off the insides of the amp.

    Yes I don't really understand what you are saying . . .

    1. When the Amp is keyed (ie in Transmit mode, with the Relay activated) but with NO RF Drive from your transmitter, what is the Standing Currenet reading?

    2. When you apply drive from your Tx, after initially tuning the Amp at low power, you need to give it 100 watts to get full output from the Amp. Is that what you are giving it?
