    Richard F. Wilkins, 81, of Whitney, passed away October 4, 2015 at Crestview Healthcare Residence in Waco. He was born in Anderson, Indiana to parents Glen “Doc” Wilkins and Dorothy “Dot” Anderson.

    Richard was a HAM radio operator since his teen years and his working years were spent in the electronics field. As a hobby he loved to delve through all information about “Area 51” near Roswell, New Mexico. In Hill County, he became part of the Emergency Management Team. Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Robert (Bob) Wilkins and sister, Beverly Wilkins Craig.

    Survivors include wife, Ida M. (Stigall) Wilkins of Arlington, TX; sister, Linda Wilkins Fesmire of Markleville, IN; daughter, Dawn Goddard of Cleburne; son, Guy Wilkins of Davison, MI; daughter, Tracy Wilder of Whitney, TX; son, Jay Wilkins of Middleburg, FL; eleven grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
