I checked my log and worked an Indian Station back in 2002.

Today on 20, FT8 a VU popped up. Worked him as only my 2nd contact in 16 years.

    Thanks FT8.

You got lucky, and it had nothing to do with Valentines's day.:D

    FT8 is cheapening DX, isn't it? :D:D:D:D:D:D

Well done! I'm still looking to work, and confirm, my first VU. Any band, any mode.

Check 17 and 30 Meters as well, I have been hearing a lot of them , last one I worked on FT8 was on 17M. You might want to set up cluster alerts if you have not already.

I 'see' them from time to time, but they don't 'see' me. Power and/or antenna limitations on my side.

DX is DX no matter the method or mode.

BTW, luck had very little to do with it, I was running 500 watts FT8, antenna 80m dipole up 50 ft.

Ya gotta do what ya gotta do..................

Congratulations. 17 years on the air in June (to be fair there have been a few years with zero contacts using my own callsign) and I have yet to work a VU on any band or mode using any of my own callsigns. I am sure I have worked a VU during a DX contest while guest operating under a different call but that doesn't count.
