    Youth-oriented net
Meets weekly on Sundays at 4pmMST (Arizona no DST), (0900UTC)

    Nationwide checkins welcome.

    Join WIRES X Node 21396 (Tucson-Room)

    Tucson Frequencies:
    Mt Lemmon AZ 444.925+ (DPL023)
    Vail AZ 449.625- (DPL023)

You don't have to be young to check in, though. Anyone, young or old is welcome to check in. Young people licensed or unlicensed running under a control operator are also very much welcome to check in.

We encourage licensing of young operators and new hams, help them to become more active, and gain experience and knowledge.

Joe K3TYE, Boy Scout leader and control operator of WN7BSA (club call) holds free classes and has helped many youth get their license in the Tucson area. He teaches them about electronics theory, and radio knowledge.

Discuss hobbies, radio, theory, games, new technology.

How to find a WIRES X node in my area:

CTRL-F and search for your location.
The description of the node may give information about the location or frequencies (simplex or repeater) for the node. Look up the call sign and contact the local node owner or more details.

How to use a WIRES-X node:
(commands may vary, contact your local Node owner)
Press * to disconnect from the room
Press # and then the room or node number to connect to a room.
To connect to the Tucson-Room where the Youth Net is hosted, you would normally dial #21396
Contact your local WIRES X node owner for more information.
