Windows bug causes decoding performance with certain Soundcard Interfaces.

This won't help those of us with older models with the chip that was improperly configured by the manufacturer.

 

I am sure a few will change the chip themselves.

Maybe get a free one.

 

I'm the same way as KK2DOG. I don't have the problem.

 

I have two of them and they work great for me too...thankfully!

 

What's going on here?
KD9DAL says to slide the slider to 100%
Tigertronics says to put the slider @ -0.4dB.
Is this some sort of joke?
I won't buy another sound card interface until this is resolved.

I said to have the slider at 100% ONLY when doing the first channel toggle "fix". After toggling the channels it gets seen as a line in device and 100% on the slider equals 0db. However I released and update video with a much easier fix of just skipping the channel toggle, leave it seen as a microphone device, and set the slider to as close to 0 as you can get (usually -0.4db). This second update video is the one Signalink included in their email. The fix in this second video and email accomplish the same thing as the old channel toggle fix (odb gain added to device), but just using the slider is permanent and much easier and resolves the issue

 

Is the pcm2912 affected. I was looking at the DigiMaster DataLink http://www.g4zlp.co.uk/index.shtml and asked if their devices had this problem and the repy was that they were using the pcm2912.

It should not have the problem, Near as I can tell.

Win 10 might.

 

Does anyone know if Windows 10 has this problem with the pcm2912 chip?
