I thought of another reason to use Win 10: When customers insist on it. Most of our basic imagers/wipers have used Win XP years ago, then Win 7 up until recently as their OS on which we run our applications. When they boot up, they boot to the application so the user normally wouldn't know what the OS was unless they specifically took measures to find out. Then, along comes the Government.... ...who insists any new hardware they buy must be Win 10, and nothing else is acceptable. So guess who had to update all our apps to run on Win 10? We just completed this and will be shipping products only with Win 10...not because we really wanted to... Government agencies are by far our biggest customers, so the Golden Rule kicks in.
