Around the holidays I seem to be most receptive to heart warming tales of family, kindness, and joy. This story made me smile and I thought I would share it with all of you. It's the story of John Nugent, WA2EQJ, whose last wish was recently fulfilled in Chicago. http://www.chicagotribune.com/subur...n-last-wish-radio-st-1206-20171205-story.html Wishing you a very happy holiday, celebrated with those you love. -73s Jaime Jeffries, KF7WIS
No, It deserves to be here on QRZed, where more people will actually see and appreciate it.... Great piece!
It was a privilege to QSO with Mr. Nugent and log him working rare special event station, W9F, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab). He is a "brother" ham and we thank him for serving his country and for his dedication and involvement in the worldwide "ham" family, which is truly a family. 73s always, WA2QEJ, from WB9EDP & KC9ARP.
great post and it feels good to hear our ham friends are a great bunch. THANKS TO Mr. Nugent FOR HIS SERVICE. 73 to WA2EQJ
