    Thomas R. Horton, 75, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017. Funeral: 11:30 a.m.

    Saturday in Greenwood Chapel, led by Dr. Jay Beavers. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park.

    Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood. Memorials: The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations to Community Hospice of Texas or Wounded Warriors.

    Thomas Robb "Tom" Horton was born on June 1, 1942, in Fort Worth to Floyd and Clorice Garner Horton. He attended Fort Worth schools, graduating from Trimble Tech and attended North Texas State and TCC. He served in Vietnam in the U.S.

    Air Force and was a disabled veteran at the time of his death. Tom was a "ham" or amateur radio operator for over 60 years, retaining the call sign K5IID. He worked as an oilfield tech and engineer for both Gearhart-Owen and Halliburton.

    He was a member of Arborlawn UMC. Tom was preceded in death by a nephew, Kyle A. Horton.
