This is a great little 2 meter "brick" amplifier with a GaAs FET preamp. I bought it around 2010 and used it with an HT. 5 watts in gets around 35 to 40 watts out. The amp needs around 4 amps or so from a 13.8 Volt power supply, and doesn't like the SWR to be too out of whack, but I have seen it reduce power in this situation, so the likelihood of any damage to the final transistor is low. The amp is FM only, and the power cord has an inline 4 amp fuse. $50 shipped - paypal only Note that the SW-2000 meter here is being used with a coupler that operates on the low scale even when the switch is set to the 2 kW scale.
