The individual, or gang, that uses this name/call has been very active, and it wildly successful it seems, judging by the number of individuals complaining about disappearance of their funds. One Paypal name reportedly being used by the scammer(s) is Victor Edem Effiom, which just happens to be a common name in Nigeria:
Apparently this sort of scamming is so easy, profitable, and riskless it makes one wonder why anyone bothers to make an honest living any more. A perfect “work out of your own home” cottage industry! (-:

Actually not. You were taken by a scammer, not the real KK4ECU. WB2LBV's post #6 above explains what happened.
Never put your email address in a WTB ad. Doing so makes it world-readable.
Just because a call sign was used, Doesn't mean that THAT person using it was who he said it was...
