I recently started selling an HF transceiver kit for Software Defined Radio. You choose to build it for the 160m, 80m/40m, 40m/30m/20m or 30m/20m/17m bands.

    • Single full-speed USB interface for audio and control.
    • 48kHz 24-bit radio interface.
    • 48kHz 24-bit stereo speaker and 12-bit microphone.
    • All DelSig clocks synchronized to USB SOF.
    • 1 watt transmitter.
    • Softrock control interface.
    • Open Source firmware. Apache 2.0 license.
    • SWD/JTAG port for upgrades and development.
    Buy it from
    Construction manual on Make:projects.
Source code and schematic on GitHub.
A video of its operation is on YouTube.

I want you to have a great building experience. If you are unsatisfied for any reason, you can return the kit, even half-built. I can give you a complete refund so long as all the parts are returned and undamaged.

    Hi David,

What are the shipping cost to The Netherlands ?
And is it possible to buy a case (softrock case) together to reduce shipping costs ?

    Thanks in advance for answering.

    Best Regards

Onno, I've set up the store to automatically calculate worldwide shipping using the US Postal Service API. Just go through the order process until it shows you the shipping options. The package is less than 125g so first class shipping to anywhere in the world is very affordable.

    I don't stock or sell KM5H cases.

Can you get I/Q audio out of the board directly? I want to use the radio with an iPad and the iSDR software, which wouldn't need the USB interface.

    Hi Owen,

The Peaberry doesn't include an analog I/Q output. Before the Peaberry, all inexpensive software defined radios required the use of a sound card (or two). You want one of these older designs for the iPad.

Do you offer a 10 meter only kit for VHFers with transverters?

Separate tx/rx lines and an adjustable mW output would be nice.

The latest firmware adds 96k support. 192k is beyond the ability of the ADC hardware so can't be done.

My next project should be a better fit for transverter use.

Wow, not sure how I missed this one until now. Sounds like a great rig. I'll check the ham splurge fund. :p

David, if you'd like to write up a short guest post on the Peaberry for my blog, I'd be very happy to post it or run an ad.
