10m and 15m have been good for the last couple of days for SA and Caribbean. With 100W and wire antennas, I've worked 5W0GC, 9X0T, E6Y, and 3D2AG on a few bands on CW. No digital here, yet. I'm just getting back into the hobby after my retirement. I've been trying for ZD9CW. His signals at my location have not been stellar. I'll keep trying. No joy on TO6OK:(

Last night was terrible here. Even 40 was way down.

Got my first amplifier yesterday. Suddenly I have bidirectional propagation. DX stations I call are now coming back to me ;-)

Yes there are a few pickings out there to keep in interesting.

    ( Wire Inverted L and 400W or less )

In the last week, no ATNOs but additional bands:

    9X0Y - 40M FT8 F/H
    5W0GC - 12 M CW
    9X0T - 20M SSB
    9L1YXJ - 20M JS8Call
    E6Y - 15M CW
    9X0T - 40M CW

I picked up 4 new countries on 80M.

More South American stations on 10m SSB than you could shake a stick at this evening into G land , managed six with a 5/8 wave vertical 3metres agl.

    10M, 12M, & 15M not bad this afternoon. Worked E6Y, ZM4T, FK8IK, & CE2SV on 10M, all CW. E6Y and FK8IK on 15M.

Yeah, the last few days have been FABULOUS here... a lucky collision of propagation, working antennas and a head cold that has me working from home.

    From the log:
    E6Y - ATNO
    9Q6BB - ATNO
    ZD9CW - ATNO
    TO6OK - ATNO
    Plus TT8KO, JA1XEC, OD5ZZ, ZD7FT, 5W0GC, 9X0T, TR8CA and lots of other stuff.

DX is frustrating at times...but not recently!

As further proof that the bands are not all that bad (admittedly it is a contest weekend, but if there really were no propagation it wouldn't matter) I dabbled in the contest (Search and Pounce) for less than 2 hours all weekend. 500 watts into a vertical from the left coast equaled 47 countries on 15, 20 and 40 SSB. While there were spots on 10 meters I heard very little here. I did not try 80 or 160 (I'm no longer a night owl :) ). No ATNOs since the only one I don't have confirmed (P5) was a no show LOL
