I'd like to see a version of this amplifier designed for the HF Bands, where the majority of hams would put this to good use. Being on the downside of sunspot Cycle 24 Hams will need all the help we can get to make a contact.
Been a HAM 55 years and have always enjoyed 2 Meter SSB. I have been thinking about an amp for 144 MHZ and considered building one. The Tajfun Amp looks like a very nice 800-1000 WATT product. There is a comparable product for $2700.00 US on the market. After I added up the cost to HOMEBREW an amp I think the price is not out of line at all for the TAJFUN plug and play box. The ITB site provides very nice looking RF modules built and tested for all of the HAM bands. 73 Mike
