VE5SDH - Summer Hartzfeld - Regina - Canada Yesterday, 03:23 PM VE5SDH, Summer Hartzfeld, from Regina, Canada, became a Silent Key on 9 August 2018. She was only 44. Summer had been fighting Cancer for some time. Summer was blind from birth and only recently became an Amateur Radio operator after a life changing event at the 2013 Field Day. Within a fortnight she was licensed and became very active on CW. Just three years later she was admitted into the First Class CW Operators (FOC). In addition she was a member of CW OPs, SKCC and last year became a member of the A1 Operators Club. She had many Amateur Radio friends in just a short amount of time.
