Found a really clean Standard GX1500U that hopefully will program to the 440 band. This is the 25 watt version and has eight channels.
I would like to find out if it would be possible to use it on the 440 band and if this unit has tones or not.
What program would be needed and what type of control cable can I build?

I assume this is programmed via the J-45 mic cable but that is just a guess.

    Thanks for any information.     Bob

Talk to KG4FOY. If I am right, the GX1500 just needs some software out there on the internet.

I looked em up on this site and can't seem to find his e-mail address. I hope he finds this post and responds. Thanks KC0KBH for taking the time.

Well, I sort of have a thing for Standards. It all started with a free HX-240.

Thanks VXA, PM...what a great idea! lol
I have been a silent reader on this site for a very long time and decided its time to jump in the deep end. Besides with all the storm activity in the area and all the HF antennas are sparking this is a great way to pass the time. Thanks
