I signed up and tried to get a feed but they said they do not allow tones only speech. Echolink it is..or if I can find something else to stream for "non-hams"...

Good news! I figured out the SA868 chip programming! I was trying to use an arduino uno but it only has one serial port which is used for communication with the pc so I got a mega with multiple serial ports and hooked the chip up to one of those and was able to get it going!

For who is not in the area, one could use a websdr near the qth, I had successfully used to decode sstv.

I'm also working on setting up a youtube livestream on the website (https://reachfornearspace.com) that will feature screensharing of MMSSTV decoding images from my base station (anyone have a tower for 2 meters I can borrow?) and I found out robot36 or other software can decode from the youtube audio feed too!

There is a 50% chance of thunderstorms but that may change, so watching the weather carefully. I found out how to stream the decoding on my base station to youtube, so that's on the website (at https://reachfornearspace.com/view-live-stream-of-decode-from-kd2pybs-base-station/ ) and you can also decode on your phone on robot36 from the youtube audio. I need some help setting up echolink, so if anyone wants to connect and see how my audio levels are that would be great- email me at gdewey99@gmail.com and we can setup a time. If we move to Sunday, I'll post on here and the website reachfornearspace.com...if you decode pictures, please don't forget to upload at https://reachfornearspace.com/post-image/
I'm nervous but excited hoping everything will work and we get some cool photos from near space!

Yeah, we've got a chance of showers and thunderstorms but we just might launch anyway...fingers crossed

Well, it looks like the projected trajectory based on the habhub simulator has it staying pretty much due north from me, so I have a relatively decent view (some trees in the way, but I've historically gotten pretty good reception of the FM satellites in that direction). I'm looking forward to this!
