A special event station will be operating on LSB voice 7.250 =/- .010 QRM. Times of operation 10:00 local 1500 UTC until 20:00 local 0100 UTC This event is to honor The Jonquil Festival, held at historic Old Washington State Park. Home of the original Bowie Knife, carried by Jim Bowie to the Alamo . Forged in the blacksmith shop of James Smith. This shop is still in operation, as a educational exhibit. Usually a "Special Even Station" has a 1x1 callsign - such as W8D to commemorate Drake radios, or K1T for Heathkit radios, etc.... Do you have a 1x1 call for your special event? If you don't, please visit http://www.1x1callsigns.org/ and consider applying for one if you've not already.
