    my granddad just passed away last week. he was in the army air corps in WWII. i once asked what his ham call was and all i gou was n 5duh! anyway how can i find out what someones call was years ago? his call, if he was a ham, obviously lapsed eons ago. i would like to find it and see if its available for vanity.

    any old-timers out there, his name was Jim Ragsdale. graduated from texas a/m in 1939 and worked for the usda in laredo where he retired after military service.

    any help is welcome

    Do you have a middle name for your grandfather? There are several James Ragsdale listings in the ULS but I need more specifics such as a middle name or just an initial.

    I found an expired license for James O. Ragsdale that expired back in 1997. Not sure if that's who you're looking for or not.

    middle name is e as in earl.

    he was 87.

    no 1997 wont do. think its waaaaay back if he did have one. like novice.
